AD Russell scored eight boundary sixes in
his knock of 80 not out in this game which fetched him 50 boundary sixes in the
ongoing edition of IPL. His feat provides the third occasion of a batsman scoring
50 plus boundary sixes in an IPL Edition. The other two occasions are credited
to CH Gayle who has performed the feat on two editions – 59 boundary sixes in
2012 edition and 51 boundary sixes in 2013 edition, Thus AD Russell became the
second batsman in the history of IPL to score 50 plus boundary sixes in an IPL edition after CH
Gayle.
HH Pandya scored 91 in this game to provide
the 60th occasion of a batsman scoring a ninety in IPL. It also provides the fourth
occasion of a Mumbai batsman scoring a ninety in IPL
