Ganesh Satish – former Karnataka batsman, now representing Vidarbha – became the eighth batsman to aggregate 2000 plus runs in the history of Vijay Hazare Trophy.  At the end of the 2017-18 season, his run aggregate read 2068. He is one of the three batsmen who have an aggregate of 2000 plus runs in the tournament after RV Uthappa and Yashpal Singh representing two teams in the tournament.  RV Uthappa represented Karnataka and Saurashtra, Yashpal Singh represented Services and Tripura while Ganesh Satish represented Karnataka and Vidarbha.   Interestingly enough RV Uthappa and Ganesh Satish – represented Karnataka in the tournament.
