Couple of records for MA Agarwal in Vijay Hazare Trophy

He owns the record for most boundary fours and most boundary sixes in a season. At the end of this game, he has scored 84 boundary fours 18 boundary sixes. The previous record for most boundary fours in a season was held by KD Karthik of Tamil Nadu with 75 boundary fours to his credit in the 2017-18 season, while the record for most boundary sixes was credited to SP Goswamy of Bengal who had  scored 14 boundary sixes in 2009-10 season.  MA Agarwal became the first batsman in the history of Vijay Hazare Trophy to score 80 plus boundary sixes.

He scored 90 in this game which fetched him his seventh fifty of the season. He now owns the record for most fifties in a season. He went past KD Karthik who had scored six fifties in 2016-17 season and A Mukund of Tamil Nadu who had scored six fifties in 2009-10 season

MA Agarwal became the first batsman in the history of tournament to amass 700 runs. His aggregate at the end of this game read 723. He reached the milestone when he was on 67 during the course of his knock of 90 in this game.

MA Agarwal’s aggregate in the tournament read 1918 at the end of this game. He became the second Karnataka batsman to aggregate 1900 plus run in Vijay Hazare Trophy after RV Uthappa. RV Uthappa has an aggregate of 2334 runs

MA Agarwal of Karnataka has amassed 552 runs in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy to become the sixth batsman to aggregate 500 plus runs in a season of Vijay Hazare Trophy prior to the start of the Semi finals today against Maharashtra today at Delhi.

He needed 48 runs to become the second batsman in the tournament to total 600 plus runs after KD Karthik of Tamil Nadu. KD Karthik has an aggregate of 607 runs in 2016-17 season.  He completed 600 runs when he was on 48 during his knock of 81 today. His run aggregate at the end of this game read 633.

MA Agarwal required 56 more runs to edge past KD Karthik to own the record for most runs in a season of Vijay Hazare Trophy. With 633 runs to his credit he now owns the record for most runs in a season.

MA Agarwal of Karnataka and SP Goswami of Bengal shared the record for most sixes in a season among the batsmen who have aggregated 500 plus runs prior to the start of today’s semifinals  Both the batsmen had scored 14 boundary sixes – SP Goswamy in 2009-10 and MA Agarwal in 2017-18.  MA Agarwal needs one more boundary six to own the record for most sixes by a batsman in a season when a batsman has totalled 500 plus runs, MA Agarwal scored on boundary six in this game which fetched him 15 boundary sixes and now he owns the record for most sixes scored by a batsman who has also totalled 500 plus runs

MA Agarwal hit eight boundary fours in the semifinals to take his aggregate of boundary fours to 73. He became the second batsman to score 70 plus boundary fours amongst the batsman who has an aggregate of 500 plus runs in the tournament. KD Karthik has scored 75 boundary fours and owns the record for most boundary fours scored by a batsman in this category of statistics

MA Agarwal’s 140 against Hyderabad at Delhi on 21.02.18 was his third century of the season in Vijay Hazare Trophy. Prior to this, he had scored 109 against Baroda at Bengaluru on 07.02.18 and 102 against Odisha at Alur on 13.02.18. MA Agarwal of Karnataka scored 140 against Hyderabad at Delhi on 21.02.18 to provide his sixth century in Vijay Hazare Trophy. He became the eighth batsman in the history of Vijay Hazare Trophy to score six or more centuries. The centuries scored by all these batsmen are tabulated below
