R Dravid-VVS Laxman share an unique partnership in test cricket
The following are the six pair of batsmen who have partnered 300
plus runs in a test innings on two or more occasions for the same wicket in the
annals of test cricket.
South Africa pairs – HH Gibbs-GC
Smith and HM Amla-JH Kallis- are the only pair of batsmen to achieve the
captioned feat on three occasions.
The only Indian pair -R Dravid-VVS Laxman-stand out as a unique pair in the captioned list due to the following facts. They are the only pair in the annals of test cricket to partner 300 plus runs on two occasions for the fifth wicket against the same opposition – Australia – on home soil and away soil.
