MS Dhoni effected five dismissals {03 ct plus 02 st} and scored 89 against Bangladesh at Mirpur providing the sixth occasion of a wicket keeper effective five or more dismissals and scoring fifty in the annals of test cricket.
MS Dhoni has achieved such a feat for the second occasion, the first occasion was against New Zealand when he scored 52 and 56 not out and effected six dismissals.
MS Dhoni and AC Gilchrist are the only two wicket keepers to have performed such a feat on two occasions.
Tamim Iqbal scored zero and 151 in this test providing the 133rd occasion of a batsman scoring a zero and hundred in the annals of test cricket. His zero and 151 in this test provides the 28th occasion of a batsman scoring zero and 150 in a test.
Raquibul Hasan of Bangladesh returned with figures of 1.0-1-0-1 in India’s first innings which made him the fifth bowler in the annals of test cricket to have captured a wicket in the only bowled by a bowler to capture a wicket without conceding a run. Others are AW Nourse of South Africa {vs Eng} BAG Murray of New Zealand {vs India}, Wasim Raja of Pakistan {vs Aus} and DR Martyn of Australia {vs Eng}
Rubel Hossain returned with figures of 28.0-1-115-0 in this game providing the 21st occasion of Bangladesh bowler conceding 100 plus runs without capturing a wicket.
Tamim Iqbal and Junaid Siddique added 200 runs for the second wicket providing the first occasion of Bangladesh batsmen posting 200 runs partnership for any wicket in tests. Their previous best was 191 runs for the sixth wicket between Mohammad Ashraful and Mushfiqur Rahim against Sri Lanka in Jul 2007
Tamim Iqbal and Junaid Siddique added 200 runs for the second wicket providing the first occasion of Bangladesh batsmen posting 200 runs partnership for any wicket in tests on home soi. Their previous best on home soil was 187 runs for the second wicket between Habibul Bashar and Shahriar Nafees against Australia at Fatullah in Apr 2006.
Thus the 200 runs partnership between Tamim Iqbal and Junaid Siddique represents not only the highest three figure partnership for any wicket but also for the second wicket.

Zaheer Khan earned the distinction of becoming the tenth Indian bowler to capture ten or more wickets on away soil with his ten wickets in this test . He is the second bowler after Irfan Pathan to capture ten plus wickets against Bangladesh. Irfan Pathan has captured 11 for 96 at Dhaka in Dec 2004.
