MS Dhoni aggregated 1000 runs in IPL in the match between Chennai and Hyderabad at Mum-DYP on 22.04.10. Dhoni had an aggregate of 980 runs prior to the start of the match. He reached the milestone when he took his score from 18 to 22 during the course of his innings of 30 in this game. At the end of the game his aggregate stood at 1011.

Dhoni is the eleventh batsman to aggregate 1000 IPL runs. Others are SK Raina {1318}, AC Gilchrist {1216}, RG Sharma {1170}, SR Tendulkar {1122}, JH Kallis {1113}, G Gambhir {1097}, ML Hayden {1090}, SC Ganguly {1031}, YK Pathan {1011} and KC Sangakkara {1009}

MS Dhoni became the third wicket keeper batsman to score 1000 IPL runs after AC Gilchrist {1216} and KC Sangakkara {1009}

He is also the third captain in IPL to aggregate 1000 runs after AC Gilchrist {1047} and SR Tendulkar {1122}

He is the second wicket keeper cum captain to score 1000 plus IPL runs after AC Gilchrist who has scored 1032 runs

PP Ojha captured his 70th wicket in Twenty20 games when he captured the wicket of JA Morkel caught by A Symonds for 4 in this game.

He became the 15th bowler to capture 70 plus wickets in Twenty20 games.
