IPL 2010 : JA Morkel with 91 wickets to his credit becomes the highest wicket taker in Twenty20 games

When JA Morkel captured the wicket of RG Sharma caught by Muralitharan for 2 in the second semi final between Chennai and Hyderabad at Mum-DYP on 22.04.10 he became the highest wicket taker in Twenty20 games. It was his 91st wicket and he went past Yasir Arafat’s 90 wickets. Prior to the start of this game, Yasir Arafat and JA Morkel had an aggregate of 90 wickets

JA Morkel’s 91 wickets have come from 106 matches. He has bowled 309.5 overs of which four were maiden overs. He has conceded 2471 runs for his 91 wickets at an average of 27.15 runs per wicket. His best bowling effort is his 4 for 30. He has taken four wickets in an innings on two occasions.
