This stand represents the second best partnership for the tenth wicket in tests. The best stand is 151 runs on two occasions  – between RD Colling and BF Hastings of New Zealand vs. Pakistan at Auckland in Feb 1973 and between Axhar Mahmood and Mushtaq Ahmed of Pakistan against South Africa at Rawalpindi in Oct 1997. All these three partnerships are listed below

This stand represents the record partnership by West Indian batsmen in the annals of test cricket. The previous best was 106 runs stand between CL Hooper and CA Walsh at St John’s in May 1993. In fact these two partnerships are the only two partnerships of 100 plus runs by West Indian batsmen in test cricket
