R Ashwin with his 62 test wickets in 2015 and 59 test wickets in 2016 earned the distinction of becoming the eighth bowler in the annals of test cricket to capture 50 plus wickets in two or consecutive years. His feat provides the tenth such occasion. All such occasions are listed below
