Delhi won the game against Rising Pune at Pune-SRS on 11.04.17 by 97 runs to provide the 12th occasion of a team winning an IPL game by 90 plus runs margin. All such occasions are listed below.

It also provides the first such win for Delhi in the Indian Premier League and represents its largest win by runs margin in the tournament. Its previous largest win by runs margin was its win by 67 runs against Rajasthan at Delhi on 31.03.10. Thus Delhi had to wait ten years to register its second win by 60 plus runs margin in the Indian Premier League.

AM Rahane became the 43rd cricketer to lead a team in Indian Premier League when he captained Rising Pune Supergiant against Delhi Daredevils at MCA-Pune. AM Rahane was leading Rising Pune s in place of  its regular  captain  SPD Smith who could not take the field due to a bad stomach.

 

AM Rahane became the third captain to lead Rising Pune Supergiant after MS Dhoni and SPD Smith. AM Rahane became the 31st captain to lead a team against Delhi Daredevils in Indian Premier League. The following table lists the captains with their performances

AB de Villiers scored nine  boundary sixes in  his knock of 89 not out in  the game between Bangalore and Punjab at Indore  on 09.04.17, which fetched him a total of 150 boundary sixes in Indian Premier League. He earned the distinction of becoming the fourth batsman in the history of Indian Premier League to aggregate 150 plus boundary sixes.  Others are – CH Gayle {264}, RG Sharma {163} and SK Raina {160}.
