Delhi’s dubious distinction – owns the record for most losses in the Indian Premier League

Delhi Daredevils lost its game against Kolkata Knight Riders at Delhi on 17.04.17. This loss represents  Delhi’s 76th loss in the Indian Premier League.  Delhi is the only team to lose 75 games in the history of Indian Premier League and holds the record for a team which has suffered most losses in the tournament.  There is a table furnishing Delhi’s performance against each opposition. It is observed that it has lost most games – eleven – against Chennai and Kolkata. Today’s loss against Kolkata was its eleventh loss. It has lost ten games against Kings Eleven Punjab, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Thus it has lost ten or more games against five teams in the tournament.
