SPD Smith’s 101 in this game represent his 33rd century of his test career. He now occupies the second place in the list of Australian batsmen who have scored most centuries in a test innings. RT Ponting with 41 centuries to his credit occupies the first place. SPD Smith went past SR Waugh who has scored 32 centuries on his way to occupy the second place.

TM Head’s 152 represent his ninth century in a test innings. It was his fifth score of 150 plus score in his test career and second against India. Prior to this he had scored 172 against India at The Oval in Jun 2023
