CLT20 : Key statistics of the tournament

The following are the key statistics of the Champions League T20 which was concluded yesterday.

The only tied game of the tournament was between Diamond Eagles and Sussex Sharks at Delhi on 13.10.09. Diamond Eagles won the game on one over eliminator.

Trinidad & Tobago’s 214 for 3 against Diamond Eagles at Hyderabad on 18.10.09 is the highest total posted by a team in the tournament. This total also represent the only occasion of a team posting a total in excess of 200 runs in the tournament.

Cape Cobra’s 84 all out against Delhi Daredevils at Delhi on 19.10.09 remains the only total of a team dismisses all out for a total of less than 100 runs in the tournament. This total also represent the lowest completed innings in the tournament

JP Duminy of Cape Cobras {224}, DA Wanrer of New South Wales {207} and PJ Hughes of New South Wales {202} are the three batsmen who have aggregated 200 plus runs in the tournament. JP Duminy with 224 runs has the most runs in the tournament.

AG Puttick of Cape Cobras with his 104 not out against Otago Volts remains the only centurion of the tournament. His knock not only represents the highest individual score by a batsman but also represent the only hundred by a captain in the tournament.

LRPL Taylor of Royal Challengers Bangalore, JP Duminy of Cape Cobras and PJ Hughes of New South Wales share the record for most fifties in the tournament. All the three batsmen have registered two fifties.

RJ Quiney of Victoria holds the record for most zeroes in the tournament with three zeroes to his credit.

KA Pollard of Trinidad & Tobago with his 14 sixes holds the record for most sixes by a batsman in the tournament. LRPL Taylor of Royal Challengers, Bangalore with 11 sixes and JP Duminy of Cape Cobras with 10 sixes are the other two batsmen who have scored ten or more sixes in the tournament.

Most sixes in an innings in the tournament is five and is shared by JP Duminy of Cape Cobras, KA Pollard of Trinidad & Tobago and B Lee of New South Wales.

DJ Bravo of Trinidad & Tobago with 12 wickets to his earned the record for most wickets in the tournament. MC Henriques of New South Wales and CJ Mckay of Victoria with ten wickets each are the other two bowlers to aggregate ten or more wickets in the tournament.

CJD de Villers of Diamond Eagles, AB McDonald of Victoria, DJ Bravo of Trinidad & Tobago and DP Nannes of Delhi Daredevils are the four bowlers who have caprured four wickets in the tournament.

CJD de Villers of Diamond Eagles with his 4 for 17 against Somerset at Hyderabad on 16.10.09 has the best bowling figures in the tournament. He returned with figures of 4.0-2-17-4 and earned the distinction of becoming the only bowler in the tournament to bowl two maiden overs which are also wicket maidens.

A Mishra of Delhi Daredevils conceded most runs by a bowler in the tournament. He retunred with figures of 4.0-0-59-0 against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Bangalore on 17.10.09. His figure not only represent the mose expensive figures in terms of runs conceded but also represent the most expensive by a bowler who has conceded fifty plus runs without capturing a wicket. In fact, A Mishra remains the only bowler in the tournament to concede fifty plus runs without capturing a wicket.

D Ramdin of Trinidad & Tobago and DLR Smith of New South Wales share the record for most dismissals in the tournament with four dismissals each.

D Ramdin of Trinidad & Tobago holds the record for most catches in the tournament by a wicket keeper with four catches to his credit. DLR Smith of New South Wales holds the record for most stumpings in the tournament with three stumpings to his credit

RCC Canning of Cape Cobras, AC Gilchrst of Deccan Chargers and D Ramdin of Trinidad & Tobago share the record for most dismissals in an innings. All the three wicket keepers have effected two disimssals.

SM Katich of New South Wales and KA Pollard of Trinidad & Tobago share the record for most cathes in the tournament. Both have pouched five catches each. SM Katich of New South Wales with three catches against Victoria Bushrangers at Delhi on 21.10.09 holds the record for most cathes in an innings.

121 runs partnership for the first wicket between DA Warner and PJ Hughes of New South Wales against Trinidad and Tobago at Hyderabad on 16.10.09 remains the only three figure partnership of the tournament.
