CH Gayle becomes the first batsman in IPL to score 200 boundary sixes

He had scored 192 boundary sixes in IPL prior to the start of IPL 2015. He needed eight more boundary sixes to have an aggregate of 200 boundary sixes in IPL. He scored seven boundary sixes in the game between Bangalore and Kolkata at Kolkata on 11.04.15 to take his aggregate of boundary sixes to 199 in IPL. His lone boundary six in the game between Bangalore and Sunrisers at Bangalore on 13.04.15 gave his 200th boundary six in IPL. He thus earned the distinction of becoming the first batsman in IPL history to score 200 boundary sixes

With 232 boundary fours and 200 boundary sixes to his credit,  CH Gayle is  the only batsman in IPL to score 200 plus boundary fours and 200 plus boundary sixes.
