MS Dhoni’s aggregate T20I runs in a bilateral T20I series read 1006 at the end of the first T20I against Australia at Vizag as a wicket keeper batsman. He went past BB McCullum’s 1001 runs who held the record previously for most runs in a bilateral series. MS Dhoni had an aggreagate of 977 runs prior to the start of the Vizag game against Australia went past BB McCullum’s 1001 runs when he was on 25 during his knock of 29 not out.

India will be playing its 115th T20I and Australia will be playing its 116th T20I when the two teams meet at Bengaluru on 27.02.19

Bangalore fixture will be the 20th fixture between the two teams. For India it will be the seventh game against Australia at home. Australia and India have met each other on nine occasion on Australian soil and have met each other at neutral venue on four occasions.

RG Sharma will be playing his 20th T20I against Australia. He would become the first cricketer to appear in 20 plus T20Is against a specific opposition in the history of T20Is

RG Sharma of India is all set to play his 300th T20 game when he takes the field against Australia tomorrow at Bengaluru. He  would become  the  14th cricketer  and the third Indian cricketer in the history of  T20 games to appear in 300 plus games.

JJ Bumrah who has an aggregate of 51 wickets prior to the start of the game, require two more wickets to become India’s highest wicket taker in T20Is. He would go past R Ashwin who has an aggregate of 52 wickets and holds the present Indian record for most T20I wickets

YS Chahal has a tally of 46 T20I wickets prior to the start of this game and require four more wickets for his 50 wickets.

AJ Finch has scored 48 boundary fours against India and requires two more boundary fours for his 50 boundary fours. If he scores them, then he would become the first Australian batsman to score 50 boundary fours against India

V Kohli has scored 46 boundary fours against India and requires four more boundary fours for his 50 boundary fours. If he scores them, then he would become the first Indian batsman to score 50 boundary fours against Australia.

RG Sharma has scored 102 boundary sixes in his T20I career. He needs two more boundary sixes which would fetch him 104 boundary sixes and with it the record of scoring most boundary sixes in T20Is. He would go past MJ Guptill and CH Gayle who have scored 103 boundary fours

V Kohli has scored 221 boundary fours in his T20I career. He requires three more boundary fours to go past TM Dilshan’s 223 boundary fours and own the record for scoring most boundary fours in the history of T20Is

V Kohli has a run aggregate of 2191 in T20Is. He needs nine more runs for his 2200 runs. If he gets them, then he would become the fourth batsman in the history of T20Is to total 2200 plus runs. Others are – RG Sharma {2331}, MJ Guptill {2272} and Shoaib Malik {2263}

AJ Finch has an aggregate of 397 runs against India in T20Is. He needs three more runs for his 400 runs. If he scores them he would become the first batsman in the history of T20I to score 400 plus runs against India

AJ Finch and GJ Maxwell have played 12 T20Is against India. Bengaluru game will be the 13th game for them. AJ Finch, GJ Mawell and NLTC Perera share the record for most appearances against India. All the three cricketers would have played 13 T20I against India at the end of Bengaluru game.

AJ Finch (02}, DA Warner {02} and SR Watson {03} are the three Australian batsmen who have scored two or more fifties against India. One more fifty for AJ Finch will fetch him his third fifty and with it he will share the record for most fifties by an Australian batsman against India.

V Kohli has scored 19 fifties in T20Is. One more fifty by him in this game would be his 20th fifty and with it he would become the second batsman in the history of T20Is to score 20 fifties in T20Is. RG Sharma has scored 20 fifties.

V Kohli of India and NLTC Perera of Sri Lanka are the only two batsmen in the history of T20Is to score five fifties against a specific opposition. V Kohli has scored five fifties against Australia and NLTC Perera against Bangladesh. One more fifty by V Kohli in this game will fetch him his sixth fifty against Australia and with it the record for most fifties against an opposition in the history of T20Is.

JJ Bumrah is one of the four bowlers who have captured 15 or more wickets against Australia. Others are Saeed Ajmal of Pakistan {19}, Mohammad Amir of Pakistan {16} and Umar Gul of Pakistan {16}. JJ Bumrah has chances to become the highest wicket taker against Australia, if he picks five wickets in this game. If he captures four wickets in this game, he would then the record for most wickets against Australia. If he captures two or three wickets in this game, he would then become the second bowler to capture most wickets against Australia.

MS Dhoni has an aggregate of 273 runs against Australia as a wicket keeper batsman. He needs two more runs to occupy the second place in the list of wicket keeper batsmen who have scored most runs against Australia. He would go past Q de Kock who has an aggregate of 274 runs. It also represents the highest partnership recorded for any wicket in T20Is. It also provides the second occasion of batsmen posting 200 plus runs partnership in T20Is.

Hazarathulla Zazai and Usman Ghani scored 162 not out and 73 respectively in this game to provide the fifth occasion of opening batsmen scoring  a century and a half century in the history of T20Is. It also provides the first occasion of one of the opening batsman scoring 150 plus runs and another scoring a half century in the  history of  T20Is
