Test Cricket witnessed a world record in the test match between Sri Lanka and West Indies at Galle. It was for the first time in the annals of test cricket two spin bowlers who shared the new ball in a test innings went on to share the ten wickets equally that fell in that innings. Sri Lankan spin twins L Embuldenia {5-35} and RTM Mendis {5-66} of Sri Lanka shared the ten wickets equally in the fourth innings of the test against West Indies at Galle. They also shared the new ball.
