MS Dhoni has scored 59 half centuries prior to the start of this series. He needs one more half century for his 60 half centuries If he gets it he would then become the 13th batsman in the annals of one day games to score 60 plus half centuries

MS Dhoni has scored 68 fifties as wicket keeper prior to the start of this series. He needs two more fifties for his 70 fifties. If he gets it he would then become the second wicket keeper batsman in the annals of one day games to score 70 plus fifties.  KC Sangakkara has scored 114 fifties. MS Dhoni would go past AC Gilchrist who has scored 69 fifties on his way to second place.

MS Dhoni has scored 45 half centuries as captain prior to the start of this series. He needs five more half centuries for his 50 half centuries. If he gets it he would then become the second batsman in the annals of one day games to score 50 plus half centuries. RT Ponting is the other captain to score 50 half centuries. He has scored 51 half centuries.

India has won 147 one day games when MS Dhoni was keeping wickets prior to the start of this series. Three more wins would give India 150 wins. If India wins three games, then it would the third team in the history of one day games to win 150 plus games under a wicket keeper.  Others two teams are – Australia {AC Gilchirst – 199 games} and Sri Lanka {KC Sangakkara – 195 games}

MS Dhoni has scored 6143 runs as captain prior to the start of this series. He needs 153 more runs to overhaul the aggregate of SP Fleming who has scored 6295 runs as captain and is occupying the second place amongst the captains who have scored most runs in one day games. If MS Dhoni overhauls the aggregate of SP Fleming, then he would occupy the second place after RT Ponting. RT Ponting has an aggregate of 8197 runs as captain

MS Dhoni has scored 19 fifties while leading India on home soil. He needs one more fifty for his 20th fifty. If he gets it, he would then become the third captain in the annals of one day games to score 20 plus fifties on home soil. Others are – RT Ponting {25} and GC Smith {25}

MS Dhobi has scored four centuries while leading India on home soil. One more hundred would fetch him his fifth hundred and with it he would share the second place amongst the captains who have scored most centuries on home soil with GC Smith. GC Smith scored five centuries. RT Ponting with ten centuries to his credit occupies the first place.

If he appears in all the five games of the ensuing series, he would be playing his 100th game in the last one-day game of the series. He would then become the fourth wicket keeper batsman to appear in 100 one day games on home soil. Others are – MV Boucher {133}, KC Sangakkara {129} and AC Gilchrist {115}

MS Dhoni has scored 3407 runs as wicket keeper batsman on home soil. He needs 93 more runs for his 3500 runs. If he gets them, then he would become the third batsman in the annals of one day games to score 3500 plus runs on home soil. Others are – KC Sangakkara [4520} and AC Gilchrist {3960}

MS Dhoni has scored 2271 runs as captain on home soil. He needs 106 runs to overhaul the aggregate of 2376 by GC Smith. If he gets it, then he would occupy the third place in the list of captains who have scored most runs on home soil. Others are – RT Ponting {3093} and AR Border {2647}.

MS Dhoni has scored 2271 runs as captain on home soil. He needs 377 runs to overhaul the Aggregate of 2647 by AR Border.
