It represents the 823^rd hundred by England batsmen against various oppositions and represents the 135^th hundred by England batsmen against West Indies.

It represents the 131st hundred by an England batsman batting at number four against various oppositions and the 24^th hundred by an England batsman batting at number four against West Indies

It represents the 22^nd hundred by IR Bell in tests. He now occupies the joint third place in the list of batsmen who have scored most hundreds for England. The other three England batsmen who have scored 22 hundreds are – G Boycott, MC Cowdrey and WR Hammond. AN Cook {25} and KP Pietersen {23} occupy the first two places in the list.

CH Gayle becomes the first batsman in IPL to score 200 boundary sixes

He had scored 192 boundary sixes in IPL prior to the start of IPL 2015. He needed eight more boundary sixes to have an aggregate of 200 boundary sixes in IPL. He scored seven boundary sixes in the game between Bangalore and Kolkata at Kolkata on 11.04.15 to take his aggregate of boundary sixes to 199 in IPL. His lone boundary six in the game between Bangalore and Sunrisers at Bangalore on 13.04.15 gave his 200^th boundary six in IPL. He thus earned the distinction of becoming the first batsman in IPL history to score 200 boundary sixes

With 232 boundary fours and 200 boundary sixes to his credit, CH Gayle is the only batsman in IPL to score 200 plus boundary fours and 200 plus boundary sixes.

CH Gayle reaches a new high in T20 games

He has an aggregate of 6975 runs in T20 games prior to the start of IPL 2015 . He needed 25 more runs for his 7000 runs. He reached the 7000 run mark when he was on 25 during his knock of 96 against Kolkata at Kolkata on 11.04.15. At the end of Bangalore’s second game against Sunrisers at Bangalore on 13.04.15, his run aggregate read a mammoth 7092. He became the first batman in the annals of T20 games to total 7000 runs.

He has scored 494 boundary sixes in T20 games as on 13.04.15. He needs six more boundary sixes to have an aggregate of 500 boundary sixes. If he scores these, he would then become the first batsman in the annals of T20 games to score 500 boundary sixes

He has an aggregate of 559 boundary fours and If he gets 500 boundary sixes, he would earn the distinction of becoming the first batsman in the annals of T20 games to score 500 boundary fours and 500 boundary sixes

His 96 against Kolkata at Kolkata on 11.04.15 was his 46th half century in T20 games prior to the start of IPL 2015. He needs four more half centuries for his 50th half centuries in T20 games. If he gets them, he would then become the first batsman in the history of T20 game to score 50 half centuries.
